Our Mission
From Crisis to Stability and Independence
Our mission is to support women and individuals facing violence, instability, and barriers to opportunity. We recognize that challenges such as gender-based violence, housing insecurity, financial dependence, isolation, and displacement are often interconnected. Limina provides practical guidance, community support, skills development, and connections to appropriate resources so people can move forward with greater safety, stability, and independence.
Safety & Survivor Support
Supporting people affected by gender-based violence, including domestic and intimate-partner violence, through individualized guidance, resource navigation, and connections to appropriate professional and community services.
Housing & Stability
Helping individuals and families facing housing insecurity navigate resources and identify pathways toward safer and more stable living circumstances.
Economic Independence & Opportunity
Expanding pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, education, skills development, and financial independence.
Connection & Belonging
Building supportive community connections that reduce isolation, strengthen participation, and create opportunities for people to learn, contribute, and grow.

Two-Day Eid & Community Celebration — Ajax, May 2026
This large-scale community event brought together families, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and public representatives from diverse backgrounds. Beyond celebration, it created opportunities for small businesses, strengthened community connections, and provided a platform to raise awareness about the rights and freedoms of Afghan women and girls.
