Community Impact
Built Through Community
Limina grew from grassroots community engagement, women-centred gatherings, refugee and newcomer support, entrepreneurship initiatives, advocacy, and one-to-one guidance. These experiences allowed us to build trusted community relationships while gaining a deeper understanding of the barriers women and families face.
Flagship Event
Two-Day Eid & Community Celebration — Ajax, May 2026
This large-scale community event brought together families, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and public representatives from diverse backgrounds. Beyond celebration, it created opportunities for small businesses, strengthened community connections, and provided a platform to raise awareness about the rights and freedoms of Afghan women and girls.

What We’ve Built
Our grassroots work has built a growing network grounded in trust, participation, and practical community support. Through women-centred initiatives, one-to-one guidance, newcomer support, entrepreneurship assistance, educational programming, advocacy, professional referrals, and community events, we have created a foundation for deeper and more structured programs.
As Limina grows, we are building on that foundation to respond more effectively to gender-based violence, housing instability, economic barriers, social isolation, and unequal access to opportunity.
